Classification: HM25-HM30
Salary per hour (exc. super): as per award
Hours per fortnight: 86 (inclusive of 10 hours training time)
Employment Status: 12-month full time Registrar position commencing February 2026 (2 positions available).

We are seeking two Anaesthetic Registrars to join our team of approximately 12 registrars and 20 specialist anaesthetists, delivering anaesthesia services across a broad range of surgical specialties to a large regional catchment.

The role will involve both in-hours and after-hours support to operating theatres, including General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Thoracics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Urology, Dental, Paediatrics, Interventional Radiology, Endoscopy, and some Cardiology/Cath Lab work. In addition to anaesthetic support, registrars will contribute to the provision of obstetric analgesia, perioperative medicine, and acute pain services.

Bendigo Health is accredited for all phases of ANZCA training (Introductory, Basic, and Advanced Training), for up to 24 months of accredited time. These positions are best suited to independent registrars seeking an Advanced Training post, but may also be offered to exceptional candidates wishing to join at the Introductory Training level. Please note, however, that these roles are not currently part of the Victorian Anaesthetic Training Scheme (VATS) and will be offered on a fixed-term basis for 12 months.

Your New Division

The Clinical Operations Division encompasses acute, allied health, cancer and mental health services.  We provide a wide range of general medical, surgical and specialty services including but not limited to; Oncology, Cardiology, Renal, Emergency, Women’s and Children’s, Critical Care, Specialist Clinics, Cancer Clinics and Mental Health Services. Our Allied Health teams provide a diverse range of programs and person centred care in inpatient, outpatient, community, home and residential care settings.
