This position is a Psychiatry Senior Registrar training role within Bendigo Health’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and is aligned with the requirements of the RANZCP Fellowship training program. It provides an excellent opportunity for a registrar to further develop clinical expertise in child and adolescent psychiatry while contributing to the delivery of high-quality mental health care.

As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, the Senior Registrar is responsible for conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments and providing evidence-based treatment for young people presenting to CAMHS. The role involves managing a clinical caseload, developing care plans, and participating in regular case reviews and multidisciplinary discussions. The Senior Registrar is expected to maintain accurate clinical documentation, contribute to the preparation of reports for the Mental Health Tribunal, and attend hearings when required.

Working under the supervision of a Consultant Psychiatrist, the Senior Registrar will actively participate in ward rounds, clinical meetings, journal clubs, and educational activities. There is a strong focus on contributing to service development initiatives and quality improvement projects. The role also includes liaison with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring collaborative and coordinated care for patients and their families.

This is a dynamic training position that offers exposure to a range of mental health presentations in a supportive and educational environment. The role is well-suited to a psychiatry trainee seeking advanced experience in CAMHS within a regional mental health service.
