Salary per hour (exc. super): $27.75
Hours per fortnight: 56 Hours 
Employment Status: Ongoing Part Time

The administration position is to ensure all Medical Imaging clerical functions, including registering and booking of patients are performed in a manner that achieves a consistently high standard where the approach is patient focused and at all times promotes a positive image of Bendigo Health to the general public.

 

This position will rotate through all counters on a roster basis, with some weekends and public holidays.

 

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Reception and registration of all patients, make bookings and perform all other clerical duties required for an imaging examination
  • Answer queries from patients, staff and medical officers
  • File and retrieve information using both soft and hard copy devices
  • Assist with the billing process from invoicing through to allocation
  • Update RIS and iPM data bases where required
  • Participate in staff training and development as required
  • Ensure all correspondence is dealt with in a timely manner
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Demonstrate an excellent standard of customer service to provide patients with a positive experience while visiting Bendigo Health
  • Effectively communicate and liaise with other departments to ensure timely and patient focused service at all times
  • Ability to work within a team environment and autonomously
  • Other administrative and customer service duties as required

Your New Division

Clinical Governance is focused on upholding patient safety and a high quality of service through leadership, quality improvements, clinical performance, risk management, professionalism and excellent patient care.  The division collaboratively provides high quality clinical governance support and advice, both internally and when supporting our regional Health Service Partners.

GP Liaison, Medical Imaging incorporating BreastScreen, Pharmacy, Pathology and Research Governance is led by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

The Chief Medical Officer has responsibility for maintaining full compliance to accreditations and to deliver improvements through our response to the recommendations of both the national and Victoria’s General Quality and Safety reviews. The Office of the CMO oversees incident reporting, investigation of adverse patient events and complaints regarding clinicians.  The CMO provides leadership and support to the medical workforce to feel empowered to provide Excellent Care.
