Salary per fortnight (exc. super): $4,848.80 - $5,343.56
Hours per fortnight: 76
Employment Status: Fixed Term Full Time - 12 months.  Part time or job share considered.

This key project role will coordinate an exciting new allied health workforce initiative across the Loddon Mallee Local Health Service Network.  Loddon Mallee is one of three networks in Victoria to receive funding to pilot an allied health leave reliever pool to support the allied health workforce and continuity of patient care across the region.  The reliever pool will include 17 FTE of staff in the following disciplines: physiotherapy, occupational therapy, social work, radiography, speech pathology and podiatry.  The Leave Reliever Coordinator will lead the design of the reliever pool model, oversee the development of agreements with health services, lead staff recruitment, onboarding, allocation and rostering, work closely with a range of stakeholders, complete project planning and reporting requirements, and support evaluation of the model.

The successful applicant must be employed under the Allied Health Professionals EBA and will have experience in project management, people management and stakeholder engagement. 

This role is full time for 12 months, however, applicants seeking to work part time or in a job share arrangement will be considered.  There is flexibility with working remotely, although there will be times when the successful applicant will need to be on-site in Bendigo and there may be some travel to regional sites required.

Your New Division

The Clinical Operations Division encompasses acute,  cancer and mental health services.  We provide a wide range of general medical, surgical and specialty services including but not limited to; Oncology, Cardiology, Renal, Emergency, Women’s and Children’s, Critical Care, Specialist Clinics, Cancer Clinics and Mental Health Services.

Within a state-of-the-art hospital, our Ambulatory and Critical Care, Medical Services, Surgical Services and Women’s and Children’s (including an Early Parenting Centre) areas use the latest technologies to provide excellent care.  Our world class Cancer Centre uses a multi-disciplinary, integrated approach to treat specific cancers. The Cancer Centre offers medical oncology, radiation oncology, specialist nurses, clinical trials and cancer research, palliative care, and a Cancer Wellness Program.

The Mental Health Service provides psychiatric care and treatment across a large catchment covering the Loddon Mallee region. Family sensitive practice is central to our models of mental health care and best practice ensures the identification, inclusion and support of families, carers and children.

Each year our onsite Specialist Clinics provide over 100,000 service events, we also see more than 60,000 people in our Emergency Department and welcome around 1700 babies into the world. The Clinical Operations Division assists with the admission of more than 50,000 patients into the hospital each year.
