The Chef is responsible for the preparation, cooking and baking of high-quality, home-style meals for residents of the Gibson Street Group.

 

They ensure compliance with food safety regulations, Bendigo Health policies, and cleaning protocols, while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The position also includes supervising and supporting kitchen staff, coordinating orders with an emphasis on fresh produce and maintaining accurate records and reports. The Chef contributes to team and organisational goals through effective communication, participation in training, and adherence to aged care legislation and quality standards.
