The Clinical Nurse Educator Theatre (instrument/circulating) will be responsible for the provision of dedicated clinical education, mentorship and practice development to undergraduate nursing and midwifery students, graduate nurses, less experienced staff and staff undertaking postgraduate studies or continuing education in the Interventional Suite, primarily those in the Instrumentation/Circulating roles. They will assist in development, delivery and evaluation of planned and emerging education activities. The incumbent will be accountable for prioritising tasks within their portfolio to meet organisation imperatives and will be required to identify and take appropriate action regarding urgent or emerging issues.

 

The Nursing and Midwifery Education team is responsible for defining and progressing the strategic direction of clinical learning and development at Bendigo Health. Through a collaborative inter-professional approach, the team coordinate and/or provide clinical learning and development opportunities for clinicians, students and trainees. Such opportunities enable continued advancement from Novice to Expert, from the first clinical placement as an undergraduate to the day of retirement or resignation. The team work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure learning and development opportunities are relevant, innovative, contemporary, and evidence based.

Qualifications or experience in Peri-operative nursing is essential
