Director of Fundraising, Bendigo Health

Bendigo Health is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Fundraising to lead and deliver the hospital's philanthropic efforts in alignment with Bendigo Health’s next Strategic Plan (2026-2030).

As the Director of Fundraising, you will be responsible for driving significant growth in philanthropy and donations, raising the profile of Bendigo Health, and enabling the provision of vital non-Government funded research, equipment, specialised clinical positions and services, and facilities.

This is a key leadership role where you will oversee and manage a comprehensive suite of fundraising initiatives, including Grateful patient programs, Wills and bequests, Trusts and foundation grants, Major gift giving and Community fundraising

Reporting to the Chief of Strategy and Community Affairs and collaborating closely with key stakeholders, including the CEO and Executive Team, and the newly commissioned Bendigo Health Foundation Board to achieve fundraising goals and support the hospital's growth.

 

This is an exciting time for Fundraising at Bendigo Health with the creation of this new role, the new Bendigo Health Foundation, and the opportunity for the Director to shape and expand the fundraising division.

 

About You:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of success in driving philanthropic growth. You will have excellent communication and leadership skills, financial management experience, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Experience in healthcare or non-profit fundraising will be an asset, as will a passion for making a tangible difference in the community.

Areas of focus include internal and external communications, development of fundraising appeals, stakeholder liaison, management of the volunteer program, and coordination of governance and mandated reporting.
