The Role:

As a Senior Mental Health Clinician Nurse with specialist expertise in dual diagnosis, you will play a pivotal role within the Mt Alexander Locals team. In this position, you will deliver contemporary, evidence-based interventions for individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges. Your work will span initial screening and comprehensive assessment, collaborative care planning and coordination, targeted clinical treatment and therapeutic interventions, and proactive linkage with internal and external support services.

You will collaborate closely with a diverse team of clinical and wellbeing professionals, contributing to a robust clinical governance framework that ensures safe, high-quality care. Your leadership will be instrumental in promoting best practice, strengthening service integration, and upholding a person-centred approach that honours the preferences, values, and goals of consumers, carers, families, and supporters.

As a senior clinician, you will exemplify and actively role-model the Values of Bendigo Health, providing mentorship, advocacy, and professional support to colleagues. You will also be required to deputise for the Locals Manager, demonstrating sound judgement, operational capability, and a commitment to service excellence.
