The Enrolled Nurse works with the Health Care Workers, RN, ANUM and NUM to deliver person centred recreational based care and behaviour support in the Specialist Dementia Care Program 9 bed unit. The SDCP Unit offers temporary care with a goal to stabilise and reduce a person’s severe behavioural and psychological symptoms to achieve a supported transition into a less intensive residential care setting. The SDCP team works closely with Dementia Support Australia, Dementia Training Australia and specialist clinicians to improve the person's quality of life by promoting choice, independence and enablement.
