Position Title: Allied Health Reliever Pool
Classification: Dependant on qualification 
Salary per hour (exc. super): Dependant on qualification 
Hours per fortnight: up to 80 hours with an ADO every 4 weeks 
Employment Status: Fixed Term Part Time or Full Time 

Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and interviews may be conducted during this time whilst advertisements remains open. 

The Allied Health Reliever Pool Pilot will consist of a pool of Exercise Physiologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Podiatrists, Radiographers, Social Workers and Speech Pathologists to provide leave cover within the Loddon Mallee Local Health Service Network (LHSN).  Leave Reliever Pool staff will be employed by Bendigo Health, but may be allocated to work at any health service within the Loddon Mallee LHSN including Bendigo Health, Boort District Health, Dhelkaya Health, Echuca Regional Health, Heathcote Health, Inglewood and Districts Health Service, Kerang District Health, Mallee Track Health and Community Service, Mildura Base Public Hospital, Robinvale District Health Services, Rochester and Elmore District Health Service, and Swan Hill District Health.  Leave Reliever Pool staff may be allocated to work in health services within a sub-regional pool within the Loddon Mallee LHSN (Loddon, Murray or Mallee).

The Leave Reliever Pool Allied Health Professional (AHP) is responsible for the provision of clinical services within a designated clinical caseload in the relevant discipline in health services where they are allocated, appropriate to their level of experience and competency. Leave Reliever Pool AHPs are required to display autonomy of practice, whilst also contributing constructively to the interdisciplinary team.

Your New Division

The Community and Continuing Care Division provides a broad range of high-quality, person-centred care programs and services to consumers in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.  Each service within the division is designed to ensure holistic care and improve the overall well-being of our patients and communities.

The Community Services team is dedicated to enhancing the health and wellbeing outcomes of the communities in the Loddon Mallee with six regional offices. This team includes:  Aged Care Assessment undertaken on behalf of My Aged Care; Community Allied Health; Community Care; Carer Support and Community Nursing & Home Care.

The Continuing Care team delivers high-quality services across the Loddon Mallee region including: Dental Care; Chronic Disease Management; Outpatient Rehabilitation; Support for People Transitioning Home; Diabetes Management and Geriatric Management and Assessment.

The Allied Health team provides comprehensive, high-quality care across the continuum, including expert services in: audiology, dietetics, exercise physiology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, podiatry, psychology, social work, speech pathology and allied health assistants who work with these disciplines.

The Geriatric Medicine Team includes Geriatricians, Rehabilitation physicians, Palliative care physicians, registrars and junior medial staff.  The Team work across inpatients, outpatients and home settings.

In addition, the Community and Continuing Care Division holds the professional portfolio of Chief Allied Health Officer.  The Chief Allied Health Officer and allied health discipline managers provide professional governance for all allied health across Bendigo Health.
