The Night Shift Medical Imaging Technologist will perform General X-ray, Mobile X-ray, Theatre and CT to a consistently high standard using a patient focused approach for afterhours emergency department and hospital inpatients. 

Holding a dedicated night shift position on the roster, they will be a valued member of the team, and required to rotate through day shifts quarterly to ensure that knowledge is shared and maintained. They will also be a mentor to under graduate students and to other members of the imaging team.

Your New Department 

The Medical Imaging team performs a full range of diagnostic Imaging examinations, over 110,000 per year, to a consistently high standard using a patient focused approach. 

Imaging services are provided to inpatients and emergency patients attending Bendigo Health, and to outpatients referred from Bendigo Health clinics, local GPs and specialists. The department is staffed by radiologists, medical imaging technologists, nurses and administration staff.

Medical Imaging services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for urgent cases. Imaging services provided include:

 

  • General radiography (x-ray)
  • Fluoroscopy
  • Mammography
  • DEXA
  • MRI
  • CT scanning
  • Ultrasound (all general, obstetric, small parts, musculo-skeletal and vascular examinations)
  • Digital Subtraction Angiography
  • Intra-operative and interventional work
