Registered Nurse Postgraduate Perioperative (Including Anaesthetics & Recovery) Nursing Course

We are aligned with Monash University to provide you with the opportunity to study across a variety of clinical areas. As a Post Graduate Student, you will have the opportunity to have rotations throughout the interventional suite in order to ensure exposure to all areas of Anaesthetics, Recovery, and the Perioperative roles of Scrub and Scout in different surgical specialties. Bendigo Health also welcomes new nurses into the organisation who are wishing to further their studies and undertake Post Graduate Nursing studies.

 

Registered Nurse Postgraduate Critical Care Care Nursing Course

Bendigo Health is passionate about facilitating the professional development of nursing staff. Registered nurses will be employed in the Intensive Care Unit as a component of postgraduate study in Critical Care nursing and are required to be enrolled in a Bendigo Health approved postgraduate course of study: Graduate Certificate of Critical Care Nursing at Deakin Univeristy. Participants will rotate to the Emergency Department for short periods in order to the develop skills and knowledge in the care of critically ill emergency patients. At all times the Registered Nurse will practice according to the standards of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as follows: ‘National Competency Standards for the Registered Nurse’, ‘Code of Professional Conduct for Nurses in Australia’ and the ‘Code of Ethics for Nurses in Australia’.

 

Registered Nurse Postgraduate Emergency Nursing Course

Bendigo Health is passionate about facilitating the professional development of nursing staff. Registered nurses employed in the Emergency Department as a component of postgraduate study in emergency nursing are required to enrol in a Bendigo Health approved postgraduate course of study: Monash University Master of Advanced Clinical Nursing (Emergency). Participants will rotate to the Intensive Care Unit for short periods in order to the develop skills and knowledge in the care of critically ill ICU inpatients. Your New Division

The Clinical Operations Division encompasses acute,  cancer and mental health services.  We provide a wide range of general medical, surgical and specialty services including but not limited to; Oncology, Cardiology, Renal, Emergency, Women’s and Children’s, Critical Care, Specialist Clinics, Cancer Clinics and Mental Health Services.

Within a state-of-the-art hospital, our Ambulatory and Critical Care, Medical Services, Surgical Services and Women’s and Children’s (including an Early Parenting Centre) areas use the latest technologies to provide excellent care.  Our world class Cancer Centre uses a multi-disciplinary, integrated approach to treat specific cancers. The Cancer Centre offers medical oncology, radiation oncology, specialist nurses, clinical trials and cancer research, palliative care, and a Cancer Wellness Program.

The Mental Health Service provides psychiatric care and treatment across a large catchment covering the Loddon Mallee region. Family sensitive practice is central to our models of mental health care and best practice ensures the identification, inclusion and support of families, carers and children.

Each year our onsite Specialist Clinics provide over 100,000 service events, we also see more than 60,000 people in our Emergency Department and welcome around 1700 babies into the world. The Clinical Operations Division assists with the admission of more than 50,000 patients into the hospital each year.
