The Grade Two Physiotherapist is responsible for the provision of physiotherapist Services within a designated clinical caseload, appropriate to their level of experience and competency. Grade Two level physiotherapists are required to display autonomy of practice, whilst also contributing constructively to the interdisciplinary team.

The purpose of this position is to:

  •    Provide best practice client centred clinical care to clients within the designated caseload in VPRS services of Bendigo Health
  •    The Bendigo VPRS team are operationally managed by OPRS and there is an expectation that the successful applicant will work well alongside other OPRS clinics. VPRS is a state-wide paediatric service, so the successful applicant will work within OPRS AND align their practice to a state-wide model of care (VPRS).

 

VICTORIAN PAEDIATRIC REHABILITATION SERVICE (VPRS):

VPRS is a state wide service, offered as an outpatient service which caters for complex rehabilitation needs of children and adolescents recovering from major injury, illness and elective procedures.

The VPRS utilises a child and adolescent-specific, interdisciplinary care model according to best practice; with a focus on the transition from hospital to community and home-based services.

 

You will work closely with the skilled VPRS team which includes the following disciplines: Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Exercise Physiology, AHA & the VPRS Regional Coordinator.

 

Working in the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service offers unique opportunities for:

  • Botox upskilling
  • Casting upskilling & competency sign off
  • Working alongside experienced Paediatric Medical & Allied Health Staff
  • Skill building with state-wide colleagues at RCH, Monash and other regional sites
  • Attendance at VPRS education days (state-wide) in person or virtually
