The Psychiatry Registrar position at Bendigo Health is a training role aligned with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) program. The registrar will be responsible for the assessment, treatment, and ongoing clinical management of patients within Bendigo Health’s Mental Health Services. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, comprehensive clinical documentation, and the preparation of reports for the Mental Health Tribunal, with attendance at hearings as required. The registrar will also participate in ward rounds, case conferences, journal clubs, departmental meetings, educational activities, and quality improvement initiatives. There is an expectation to contribute to service development and fulfil after-hours duty and on-call responsibilities. This role also includes any additional duties as directed by the supervising Consultant Psychiatrist.
