If you are seeking a serious academic program that is focused on procedures not just referrals and want exposure to the full spectrum of Emergency Medicine in a regional trauma centre this is the position for you! Bendigo Health opened the doors on our brand new world class hospital in January 2017, providing you with a highly sought after opportunity to work as an Emergency Medicine Registrar in our new facility. We have the maximum level of ACEM advanced training accreditation.

Bendigo ED focusses on training highly competent emergency medicine clinicians in a well-developed academic training program.

Being a regional referral and trauma service, you will gain experience in the whole breadth of Emergency Medicine in one hospital from paediatrics (23%) to trauma and everything in-between.  This includes procedures: do you know how to float a pacing wire or drain a quinsy?

We moved into a brand-new hospital in 2017 with 48 treatment spaces including 4 resus cubicles and 15 short stay beds, a helipad and a 24 hr cath lab.

We are a happy department with a strong team culture, across seniority and disciplines.

We feel responsible for each other, the local community and the region.  Our department has a “can do” philosophy.

Excellent FACEM supervision and support.

High quality teaching program including ultrasound education, joint paediatric teaching, neonatal resuscitation training, trauma training and the use of the Monash Uni sim lab next door.

Exam preparation and practice exams with an excellent recent success rate.

Access to ICU, Anaesthetics and Paediatric terms.
