Hours per fortnight: 80 hours (includes an ADO every 4 weeks)

Role Description
We have a Senior Clinical Psychologist position for you! We have designed this position so that you will have great opportunity to exercise your therapeutic and assessment expertise! The position is in our inpatient precinct, which includes our acute inpatient unit, our extended care unit and our parent – infant unit. This is a full time position. We are seeking a candidate who is wanting to work with a variety of complex presentations, where you will be able to undertake comprehensive assessments (which could include some cognitive/personality assessment), clinical formulation, collaboration with our psychiatrists and multi-disciplinary team, over diagnostic dilemma’s, provide psychological interventions in individual/group format, as well as, provide recommendations to the multidisciplinary treatment teams! Acute Precinct role:
- Greater opportunity for diagnostic clarification and working with both short term and longer term inpatient admissions, as well as a greater variety of presentations, including patients admitted to the parent-infant unit
- We value your expertise in providing psychological interventions, to our longer term patients and your skills in establishing rapport and positive therapeutic alliances with patients with a number of co-morbidities.
- We will be seeking your knowledge and ability to make therapeutically orientated recommendations to families and patients and to work with therapeutically in both a group and individual format
